Children are involved in all aspects of church life at Morehead! You’ll never be asked to remove a child from a worship service or other event; fussing babies and talkative toddlers are music to our ears as the sound of a growing congregation. Everything we do – worship, mission, service, and fellowship – are places children can be involved along with the adults.
In addition to providing a place for families to worship together, our age-level ministries help nurture the childlike faith of the smallest members of our community. Children are a precious gift, and we take our responsibility seriously to help them develop a robust and life-giving faith.
Sunday School classes for children pre-K – 5th grade meet at 10:00 am in rooms on the 100 level of the building.
Children’s Choir is made up of boys and girls in 1st – 5th grade who want to make a joyful noise to the Lord, both singing and ringing chime bells. Participation is free, and the choir is open to all, whether members of Morehead or not.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 4:30 – 5:15 pm (beginning September 16) in Room 201, choir room. The children’s choir sings and rings in both Sunday morning worship services a few times each year.
Sara Welch conducts the children’s choir, and she looks forward to welcoming and working with your child!
Keep an eye out for periodic plays, musicals, and programs where your children can be involved.
